#GO 2025

KRISTOS CAMPUS MISSIONS

INTRO

In 2025, Kristos Campus Missions (KCM) was sending college students on short-term summer mission (STSM) teams to Cambodia, Nicaragua, India, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

The 2025 STSM program needed an engaging, exciting brand system for its digital assets.

VISION

The Travel Postcard

#GO and #SEND are common phrases used in KCM. #GO meaning going on missions, and #SEND meaning supporting those who are going.

To spotlight the relationship between #GO and #SEND, the metaphor of the travel postcard guides the brand system.

The travel postcard celebrates the global reach of missions. It carries a message that is sent from one and received by another. Most importantly, it is an expression of love.

TYPOGRAPHY

An Open Invitation

The STSM program is filled with anticipation, thrill, and surprise. Students eagerly – and even anxiously – await to find their assigned team and country. Once revealed, many announce on social media, inviting their friends and families to support them on their journeys.

To capture the excitement surrounding the STSM program, the texts are branded with a bold combination of Didot and Gilmer Light in all-caps.

PHOTOGRAPHY

A Monumental Experience

Photos are curated to deliver a monumental experience. Each country has its special places. Each mission trip has its special moments.

The photos show destinations that are monumental to the country's history and identity. Some photos even challenge viewers to see beyond their existing perceptions of the country.

Photos are also personalized to each mission experience, showcasing the places that students will eventually visit on their mission trips.

ASSETS

Ready, Send, Go!

Instagram and Facebook are the most common social media platforms that KCM and students use to promote STSM.

Using the brand system, digital assets like banners, cover photos, profiles, stories, and posts are tailored for those platforms.

REFLECTION

P.S. I learned to…

Value Feedback

There's always room for iteration. And, the feedback (and criticism!) from others allows for higher quality work.

Create Rules with Branding

Branding is the art of creating rules. These rules aren't easy to define, but it helps to start with a vision and framework.

Grow in Creativity

The challenge to design in new ways was enriching and was a great lesson in becoming a more flexible and versatile designer.
